Dr. Faraz Hasan is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy of the UK, Distinguished Speaker of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), Senior Member and Impact Creator of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and Senior Member of European Alliance on Innovation (EAI).

He is currently the Director of Research Services at University of New England, Australia. He was the Director of Research and Enterprise at University of Buraimi, Oman, prior to moving to Australia. Between 2014-2021, he worked as a Senior Lecturer at Massey University, New Zealand, where he led Telecommunication and Network Engineering research and served as the Director of Outreach and Engagement. He has also held teaching and research positions at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He obtained his PhD from University of Ulster, UK, in 2011 and BEng from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, in 2008.
